Results of the 2008-2009 ACT college entrance exams have been released by the Colorado Department of Education. This test is required for all 11 th graders in the state of Colorado.
The 97 Platte Canyon High School 11 th graders who took the test performed well, meeting or exceeding the state scores in all test areas and matching or exceeding previous years’ PCSD ACT scores.

Additionally, ACT reports College Readiness Benchmark Scores, derived from the actual performance of college students. These scores are the minimum scores needed on an ACT subject-area test to indicate a 50% chance of obtaining a B or higher or about a 75% chance of obtaining a C or higher in the corresponding college courses including English Composition, Algebra, Social Science and Biology.
