Katie grew up in Bailey and graduated from Platte Canyon High School. She and her husband Steve, also a Platte Canyon graduate, have been married for 13 years. They have two sons, Braylon and Blake, who attend Deer Creek Elementary.

Katie is a Realtor with Re/Max Professionals specializing in mountain properties along the 285 Corridor. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Northern Colorado.

Katie is active in the community and also serves on the Platte Canyon Little League Board and the Park County Republican Central Committee.

Heather Prewitt and her husband have lived in Bailey for twenty years, moving here because they knew it would be a wonderful place to raise children.  In 2003 & 2004 we were blessed with two daughters.  

In addition to her family, she has a job as a Certified Public Accountant.  Heather has been working as an accountant since 1994 in various industries.  She has vast experience in budgets and forecasts, tax compliance, accounting software implementation, management, and process improvement as well as financial reporting including audits.  Throughout her experience, she has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of individuals from venture capitalists and entrepreneurs to town managers and IRS auditors, and everything in between.  Her most current work has allowed her to specialize in governmental and non-profit accounting.  

She also spend time volunteering and has been involved with school committees such as the District Accountability Committee, the School Financial Oversight Advisory Committee, and parent organizations like Parents and Citizens 4 Education.

Frank VanDeHey
Mr. Frank VanDeHey
Term of Office:  11/2017 to 11/2021

Frank VanDeHey started his time with PCSD in 1974 as a 5th greade teacher. After retiring in 2016, he decided to run for School Board Director.

Ms. Amy Carman

Ms. Carman has lived in Colorado over 26 years and has lived in Bailey for 15 of those years with her three kids. Ms. Carman has worked in Early Childhood and Head Start in rural Colorado specializing in fundraising, grant compliance and organizational development. Ms. Carman has served as the Treasurer of the Grants for Knowledge foundation, Chair of the Park Family Connections, Fundraising Board Chair for the Platte Canyon Piranhas Swim Team, District Accountability Committee Secretary, Chair of the Deer Creek Elementary School Accountability Committee, Coordinator for Park Alliance for Young Children, and CEO of Boys and Girls Club of the High Rockies. Ms. Carman holds a BA in European History and Politics with a minor in Spanish from Colorado College and MA in Public Policy from the University of Denver. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her kids, tending to her home zoo, volunteering in giant breed dog rescue, attending musical theater and attempting to high-altitude garden.
