ELIGIBILITY OF CHILDREN FOR RECEIVING FREE & REDUCED PRICE MEALS

August 6, 2009

Platte Canyon School District #1 today announced its policy for determining eligibility of children who may receive free and reduced price meals served under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.

NIMS COMPLIANCE

Each Colorado school district is required by Senate Bill 08-181 to establish a timeline for becoming complaint with the National Incident Management System for responding to emergencies.   Platte Canyon has revised its Emergency Response and Crisis Management plan and completed a memorandum of understanding with the Park County Emergency Manager, the Park County Sheriff, and the Platte Canyon Fire Department and is now compliant with the requirement.
