Get to Know Our Staff

Mrs. Norton received her bachelor's degree in Biology, with a minor in Biochemistry, from the University of Colorado in 1999. She taught for 5 years in Adams and Weld County public schools before making her home her at Fitzsimmons. She recently completed her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. When she is not at school, she can be found playing with her husband and two children, most likely in the snow.

Mrs. Boline was born in Southern California and migrated to Denver in 2001. She received her MA from the University of Colorado, and her BS from Humboldt State University in California.

Mrs. DeBoer started her teaching career at Deer Creek Elementary in 2000 and immediately fell in love with the third grade.   She spent her first eight years learning and exploring with third graders.   In 2009, she gladly accepted the position of 7th grade Language Arts teacher at Fitzsimmons Middle School.   She now enjoys the new adventure of working with middle schoolers in the area of Language Arts.

She completed both her bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and Elementary Education license at Metropolitan State College in Denver.   At that time she also received a Minor in Reading.   Currently, she is working on her Master's Degree in Outdoor Education and an endorsement in Secondary English.

Mrs. DeBoer grew up in Conifer, Colorado.   She and her husband now live in Bailey and have since 1998.   She loves the Colorado Mountains.   When she is not teaching, she enjoys trail running, biking, reading a good book and spending time with friends and family.   She is proud to be a part of the Platte Canyon School District.
