SALARY Per Board approved salary schedule based on degree, credits

QUALIFICATIONS
- Quality preparation in the areas of Language Arts and Reading.
- Colorado Teaching License with appropriate endorsement.
- First Aid and CPR Certificate or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instruction of Language Arts and Reading in a classroom setting based on approved curriculum.
- Specific areas of instruction include: writing, speaking, vocabulary and spelling, grammar, research skills and study skills.
- Assess student needs, progress and achievement; diagnose and remedy weaknesses.
- Must exhibit excellent classroom management skills which enhance learning; maintain sound control over student behavior; and effectively manage transitions from one activity to another.
- Prepare and use effective instructional strategies using appropriate teaching materials.
