Ms. Arseneault grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado.   She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, majoring in Anthropology.   Following her graduation, she worked for three years as an assistant to the Behavior Specialist in El Paso County School District #11.   She attended the University of Northern Colorado to complete her Masters Degree in Special Education-Profound Needs with an additional emphasis in teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students with low incidence disabilities.   Her love of Colorado and the beautiful scenery of the Rocky Mountains, as well as her appreciation for small towns and school districts, led her to a teaching position in Platte Canyon School District.  Ms. Arseneault has taught students at FMS and PCHS (ages 12-21) with severe cognitive disabilities and profound disabilities since 1999.   She has been a member of the Mt. Evans BOCES Multidisciplinary Assessment and Planning Team since 2002.   In 2007, Ms. Arseneault began coaching the Fitzsimmons Middle School Speech Team.   Teaching is her passion in life.

She has 2 daughters that are full of boundless energy, personality and passion.   They keep her busy with dance class and 4-H meetings.   She loves visiting with family and friends.   Ms. Arseneault is also a great fan of music and enjoys attending concerts during the summer.   Generally, she does not have any spare time, but when she does, she enjoys her quiet and peaceful mountain home in South Park, Colorado.
