Swim Lessons
The Marge E. Hudak Pool offers Red Cross certified Water Safety Instruction swim lessons. For $54.00, a series of six lessons are offered at several levels of instruction. Wouldn't it be wonderful if every youngster in our community could learn to swim at our pool? Annually over 150 kids take lessons, but we know there are kids out there whose families are struggling to afford lessons.
Please give your best consideration to help us fund our program to teach local children to swim. See our letter of request and fill out our pledge form. Friends of the Pool is a 501c3 tax exempt non-profit corporation of Colorado.
Friends of the Pool
Friends of the Pool is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Marge E. Hudak Pool and its community. Friends of the Pool members help out by fundraising in the community. Our volunteer efforts help promote the pool, buy equipment, write grants, and sponsor children learning to swim.
The Marge E. Hudak Pool at Platte Canyon High School is a valuable resource for Platte Canyon and the surrounding community. Friends of the Pool is dedicated to supporting the pool by promoting programs that will encourage and enhance the swimming skills of the young people of our community, both by helping to provide lessons and to assist in participation in the summer swim team, the Platte Piranhas.
