Alternative Learning Programs
**Alternative Cooperative Education (ACE)**


ACE is offered at Platte Canyon High School for students whose educational needs and interests suggest that a contextual learning program will most likely foster a successful high school experience.

Gifted and Talented Services Gifted and talented students are identified through established District procedures. Each school provides programs, services, modifications and accommodations for identified gifted and/or talented students. To inquire about services contact the District's Gifted and Talented Services Coordinator, Salomeia Azgur l at 303-838-7666 ext. 1658.

**Post Secondary Options** Students in grades 11 and 12 are notified of post-secondary options in compliance with Colorado’s Post-secondary Enrollment Options Act. Students enrolled in post-secondary courses receive high school credit for successful completion of college courses. A portion of enrollment costs are paid by the District. To inquire about post-secondary options contact a Counselor at Platte Canyon High School.
**Special Education and Related Services** Special education and related services are provided at each school in keeping with the requirements and provisions of state and federal law. To inquire about services contact the Principal or the Director of Special Education.

Warren Occupational Technical Center The District contracts with the Jefferson County School District to allow students to participate in vocational programs at ‘Warren Tech.” To inquire about available programs, contact a Platte Canyon High School Counselor.

    Optional Language Programs

    English Language Proficiency English language development services for non-English speaking students are designed for individual students as needed at each school. To inquire about services contact the Principal.


    Individual Literacy Plans Individual Literacy Plans are developed for each student whose reading readiness or literacy and reading comprehension is at an unsatisfactory performance level.
